Upon moving back to Minneapolis, she got involved with Animal Rescue organizations. These included Wags and Whiskers, Ruff Start Rescue, and LightShine Rescue. After fostering over ten dogs (and foster failing with two of them!), she went on to help with the record-keeping side of the rescue.
