In this free Zoom talk, Education Director, Patrick O’Donnell will reference the McKiernan Library’s archival holding of dozens of photocopied letters between St. Paul, MN and Donegal expressing friendship between Ireland’s most important playwright since the 1960s, Brian Friel (1929-2015) and Eoin McKiernan (1915-2004), the founder of the Irish-American Cultural Institute and the premier bridge-builder between Ireland and America from the 1960s until the 1990s.
