Experience the Center for Irish Music’s inaugural Ceol agus Craic (pronounced ky-ohl agus crack), meaning “Music and Fun”!

Join us for an unforgettable afternoon of traditional Irish music, featuring hands-on workshops, a session, and plenty of opportunities to learn, play, and connect. Whether you’re brand-new to Irish music or a current student eager to try something different, Ceol agus Craic offers something for everyone.

Event Highlights

• 75-minute introductory workshops in whistle, fiddle, song and sean-nós dance

• Irish session at 2:15pm led by CIM instructors and community musicians — free and open to all, so bring your instrument!

• A workshop featuring the new MIM 2025 Common Tunes resource for tune players

Workshops 1 – 1:00 pm – 2:15 pm

• Introduction to Irish Fiddle for Violinists with Mary Vanorny
• Introduction to the Irish Tin Whistle with Norah Rendell
• Introduction to Sean-nós Dance with Anna Lethert

Session, Tea & Craic – 2:15 – 3:15 pm

• All are welcome to play, or just hang out!

Workshops 2 – 3:15 – 4:30 pm

• Introduction to the Minnesota Irish Music Weekend Common Tunes with Norah Rendell

*All workshops are open to participants ages 13 and up
