The St. Paul Launch & Reception for the “Ceòlacanth – It’s Alive” project! In CIM’s new recital hall and lower lobby at the Celtic Junction Arts Center.
The Gist:
We are celebrating the vibrancy of traditional Irish and Scottish music here in the Twin Cities as carried out by lively players and singers aged 65 and over.
The Past & The Now:
This project was conceived by Laura MacK a couple of years ago. At that time, it was begun as a project featuring players in duo with L MacK.
We made a recording of such! And the CD will be launched this week.
Important – The Future:
Laura MacK would like to continue this project, as there are so many more of you in this “bracket” we want to celebrate, via a series. We probably won’t be able to produce more CDs, but how about more events? Come out and let us know what you think!
Please join us this Friday evening – we (L MacK, Jo Ann Vano, Dáithí Sproule, Barry Foy, Patrice Pakiz, Tom Schaefer, Ross Sutter – with Bob Walser and Jim Moss not able to join us this evening) would love to see you!
We will have tea and real shortbread, maybe a little wine, a nice performance hour, a chance to see you, and….”Ceòlacanth – It’s Alive!” Albums.
You may reserve a seat in advance with a reply to this email (
laura@lauramackenzie.com), but there will likely be seats available if you just show up!
