Join the Mactir Academy of Irish Dance in celebrating Bealtaine [bee-yowl-tinna], an unforgettable celebration of Irish dance, music, history, and culture, presented by Mactír Academy of Irish Dance.

This spectacular event will take place on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at the newly renovated Uptown Theater in Minneapolis.

This is more than a performance; it’s a cultural immersion featuring:

• Over 200 Dancers: Showcasing the artistry and energy of dancers of all ages and levels.
• 4 Live Bands: Including Purple Heather, Average Gatsby, the electrifying Two Tap Dance Band, and the special appearances from the Brian Boru Irish Pipe Band.
• A Celebration of Heritage: The event will beautifully showcase the rich Irish history and culture throughout the performance.

We are also proud to be debuting FIVE brand-new numbers, including a powerful piece focused on the history of Irish resistance and oppression, demonstrating the enduring resiliency and strength of the Irish people to keep their culture alive featuring the music of Chasing Abbey!

Mactír Academy is honored to be partnering with the Wilson Foundation to give back to the Minneapolis community. A portion of the proceeds will be raised towards their MPLS Response and Recovery program to help provide rent relief to families affected by Operation Metro Surge this past Winter.
