January 28th is the Burns Night fundraiser presented by the Minnesota Scottish Fair & Torg Brewery! Celebrate the life and poetry of Robert Burns, Scotland’s ‘National Bard’ with us. We will have a catered dinner by Potter’s Pasties and a cash bar, along with our usual schedule of entertainment including the Macalester College Pipe Band, Scottish Highland Dancing, Burns poetry and toasts (toasts will be made with a brew provided by Torg Brewery rather than Scotch this year), haggis tasting, and a Ceilidh dance with music provided by Dalwhinnie.

Enjoy Robert Burns’ birthday by celebrating Scottish-style, with music and dance. Pipe bands, dancers, Burns’ poetry, toasts, the wee dram, and kilts, oh my! Dalwhinnie (aka Dunquin) plays for the Scottish social dancing; no experience, just super-simple dances (or just listen if you prefer).
