This concert will showcase the talents of youth and adults from Finland, Italy, Germany, Vietnam, Costa Rica, Mexico, Jamaica, Turkey, Madagascar, and the USA. Audience members of all ages are welcome to come enjoy singing, dancing, and cultural dress presented by a high-energy, youthful company described by one music reviewer as “so much more than a choir.”
The new Songs of Hope concert continues a longtime tradition of bringing entertaining and inspiring concerts to Midwest audiences. The first Songs of Hope project—more than thirty years ago—had concerts only in the Twin Cities. Since then, Songs of Hope has spread its wings, visiting more than 80 cities throughout the upper Midwest, with hundreds of global performers sharing their talents with local audiences.
“Our mission is to share the global cultures of our young singers,” says program director, Tom Surprenant. “No one quite knows how we do it, but we’ve been offering free and low-cost concerts since our founding – and we’ve reached many, many thousands of audience members in cities all across the Midwest.”
