Songs of Hope turns 30

July 29, 2023 @ 7:30 pm

$12

Songs of Hope is celebrating thirty years with the St. Paul premiere of a 30-minute documentary about the project’s rich global history and profound impacts of both performers and audiences, followed by a full concert featuring youthful singers from ten countries worldwide, including Vietnam, Turkey, Israel, Finland, Mexico, Jamaica, and more! Songs of Hope concerts have a well-deserved reputation for being entertaining, educational, and inspiring. Join this unique celebration! Tickets are just $12.

Songs of Hope is a six-week, overnight performing arts summer camp in Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA for kids aged 10 and older from around the world. More than just a performing arts camp, Songs of Hope offers participants a unique opportunity to live in community with kids from other countries and cultures while learning and performing music from many countries.

Each summer, a select group of around 70 children and young adults venture to Minnesota from Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, and the U.S. They arrive as strangers but soon find themselves embraced in a closely-knit, supportive community as they learn popular songs and dances from each other’s cultures. Then, they take these songs of peace, love, and respect into neighboring communities in a joyous celebration of cultural unity, delighting their audiences along the way.

Tickets:  $12 on EventBrite.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
