This concert features music of Turlough O’Carolan alongside with Italian composers who influenced him.

Performed by the Consortium Carrissimi directed by Garrick Comeaux and featuring Chad McAnally on Irish harp and the lovely Siobhán Dugan on vocals plus Mary Virginia Burke on viola da gamba. In addition to O’Carolan’s, there will be music by Geminiani, Tartini, Correlli and Scarlatti.

There’s a typo on the website, Mary Vanory isn’t joining the ensemble for this!

However, we will be joined by Mary Virginia Burke on viola da gamba. (She played on the King of the Blind album.) Irish violinist Conor O’Brien will with both the Irish ensemble and the Consortium Carrissimi.
